Supporter of the Week 3

Continuing with our Supporter of the Week...... this week we give you our youngest contributor, so far. Give a big round of applause to Fraser Belmore and have a wee look at his replies and definitely his photos.

FAVOURITE GROUND, BAR SCOTSTOUN, AND WHY?
Allianz Park/Stone X would have to be up there. Being able to wade onto the pitch at the end of the game in the sunshine was cool. Where else could you get forty a side touch rugby? Warriors management take note please.
BEST EXPERIENCE AT A GAME, MOMENT ETC, HOME OR AWAY?
Despite losing on the day, the semi final in Dublin stands out for me. Even after a tough game, the players took the time to sign autographs and chat.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A WARRIORS' SUPPORTER?
Being a Warriors supporter is great. It represents being part of a community of people with a common passion for rugby.
IF YOU WEREN'T A WARRIORS' SUPPORTER, WHO WOULD YOU SUPPORT?
I think it would have to be Ulster. Having witnessed the brass band at the Final in 2015, that seemed like something I would enjoy each week.
WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST ABOUT THESE TIMES?
I miss the excuse for a catch up and a blether with people you otherwise might not see each week… A curry and a pint… And a good game of rugby.

Supporter of the week 2

Second up is the hug Queen Alison McCormick.

FAVOURITE GROUND, BAR SCOTSTOUN, AND WHY
Allianz (StoneX) for their food trucks (sticky toffee pudding yum) and their fans singing "No Glasgow No party" along with us lol - and Lyon for their supporters club inside the stadium where I helped serve the beers and their fans are awesome, communication issues notwithstanding
BEST EXPERIENCE AT A GAME, MOMENT ETC., HOME OR AWAY?
Belfast final was amazing (if wet and cold!) a truly amazing day - but my definite favourite moment was getting a photo with our Simone Favaro *fans face with the increase in temp* at the last game of the season when he was leaving us
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A WARRIORS SUPPORTER?
A group of people who are friends whether they have met or not and having great times together win or lose but also the team and coaches are just fantastic with everyone as well, making sure to spend time with us after games and for the quiz nights etc
IF YOU WEREN'T A WARRIOR'S SUPPORTER, WHO WOULD YOU SUPPORT?
Had some great times with fans of various clubs which would swing it for me - Connacht fans were amazing and Lyon fans know how to party hard and were really welcoming 🙂
WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST DURING THESE TIMES?
I miss the games of course but I really miss seeing everyone - I live alone so it has been really hard. fair warning - i will be hugging EVERYONE whether I know them or not once we are able to get back together. I MISS HUGS!

Supporter of the week 1

First up is the dynamic duo of Willie Richardson and Kirsti Hay.

FAVOURITE GROUND, BAR SCOTSTOUN, AND WHY
It would have to be Allianz Park (now StoneX Stadium), home of Sarries, for so many reasons but principally for the exceptional welcome we received there in 2017 in the Quarter Final. From the Fez Bar Beer and Curry night to the Olympic Bar and 4 pint bags of Sarries Ale. As a group the SSA are just a magnificent group of people. Returning in 2019 for the group game in 2019 was another fabulous occasion and just as memorable. Made so many lifelong friendships down there as well which is the name of the game. #RugbyFamily
BEST EXPERIENCE AT A GAME, MOMENT ETC., HOME OR AWAY?
This would have to be the Belfast Final, particularly the first try, the atmosphere was incredible and it was the culmination of several years of year on year improvement. To finally win the trophy was immensely satisfying and it was another great party weekend.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A WARRIORS SUPPORTER?
To be a Warriors supporter means being entitled to free travel on the biggest Party Bus in Scotland #WhateverItTakes
IF YOU WEREN'T A WARRIOR'S SUPPORTER, WHO WOULD YOU SUPPORT?
If we weren’t Warriors fans we’d still support Sarries or Connacht.
WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST DURING THESE TIMES?
The bit we miss the most is our Match Routine of going to Paesano Pizza before getting train then Clubhouse-Game-Clubhouse, meeting our many friends and bringing guests to Scotstoun. The social parts of the game are so important and makes for an experience which is more than a game.
