The 3rd Annual XVIth Warrior Quiz Night!

The Third Annual XVIth Warrior Quiz Night will be on 11th November 2014 at Waxy O'Connors!!!!!!!

Doors open at 19:00, kick off at 19:30

The entry fee will be £4 per person for members and £5 per person for non members on the night but,  if you have pre-booked, the fee will be £3 for members and £4 for non members.

Prizes: £50 voucher for food & drink at Waxy's Glasgow
Tickets to Waxy's Hogmanay Party

The XVIth Warrior quiz night is a charity event (Movember being one of the charities who will receive a donation) with players from the Warriors also participating.

We anticipate that teams will consist of roughly four to six per team and hope that we can arrange for at least one player to join each team.   Although there will be a prize at the end of the quiz,  it is intended to be a light hearted affair and the questions will mirror that with a variety of sections across the board.

Individuals can book as you do not have to have a team before the night. If you have a team already primed,  then all the better.

The night gives our supporters the chance to mingle, interact, chat, have photos taken with the players and be amazed at their knowledge. Security and safety of the players will be on the Committee Members, so be nice!

Our good pals at Waxy's will be continuing with their great hospitality and will supply some small bites during the interval.

We hope to have a big turn out this year for what is a pretty good night, even though we say so ourselves, so please take advantage of the early bird offer and get in there quick!

Away game showings

This year Waxy's Glasgow will continue to be our away game host pub of choice (they are so very good to us!) But we do recognise that some supporters with family & friends under 18 also want to enjoy the camaraderie of supporting as we watch on the big screen.

We thought of something......
This year, the Glasgow Warriors strip names all the club's in Glasgow and this has inspired our genius!

If you are a rugby club and you're showing Glasgow Warriors away games, send an email to our Media Manager and we will spread the word to the Warrior Nation on all available platforms.

Send the email no later than the Monday the week of the game to confirm you will be showing it.

See you all soon!

2014 Season Ticket Holders talk

Season Ticket Holders talk

THANKS!!

We would like to say massive thank you to everyone for their part in the XVIth Warrior Ice Bucket Challenge for MND Scotland.

Thanks to all the supporters that parted with their cash. We have rounded up the cash collected on the day and have donated £175.00 to MND Scotland on behalf of Glasgow Warriors supporters and coaching staff and could not have done this without your generosity.

Special thanks to Finn Russell who gallantly put himself and the coaching staff forward to represent Glasgow Warriors (sorry if this means extra burpees for you) and really helped to get the ball rolling.

Thanks also to Nicola Sturgeon for organising the event on the day.

Now a word from our Chairman:

" A big thank you to all the fans who supported the ice bucket challenge with either cash donations or via text. Cash donations from fans on the day were added to by a donation from XVIth Warrior bringing the total to £175. This will be donated to MND on behalf of XVIth Warrior and Glasgow Warriors. We would also like to thank Warriors staff, coaching staff and especially Finn Russell for his part in the event. I agree that DTH was having too much fun there. We are delighted to hear that Exeter Chiefs Supporters Club, Ospreys Supporters Club and Edinburgh Rugby supporters club have all taken up the challenge. Cheers" - Robert Stewart The XVIth Warrior Chairman

GLASGOW WARRIORS ARE RABODIRECT PRO 12 2014 FINALISTS!!!

It has been an amazing season, and now Glasgow are the first Scottish team to make a Rabodirect Pro 12 final. With Leinster v Ulster deciding if this is the year that goes down in history as the best ever for Scottish professional rugby with a home final on the cards.

We would like to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to all the supporters who have not only been behind the club but also The XVIth Warrior! We move into our 3rd year as Glasgow Warriors official supporters club and we could not have done it without the engagement of all our fellow supporters, so thank you!

We hope to see this season finish on the ultimate high, but in the mean time we have uploaded videos to our YouTube channel!
